Rajdeep Sardesai LIVE: CJP's Saurav Das & Ranka Released | Right To Protest Or Public Order?
A Delhi Special Executive Magistrate (SEM) on Wednesday ordered the release of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) co-conveners Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, who had been in judicial custody since the October 14 protest at Jantar Mantar.
The order came hours after the two withdrew their Delhi High Court petition challenging the extension of their custody.
Das’s release order states that his personal release bond has been accepted and he may be released from Tihar Jail, provided he is not required to be detained in any other case.
