LIVE: Delhi Police Detain Protesters In Connaught Place | CJP Protest | Gyanesh Kumar Row
Delhi Police detained protesters near Janpath in the Connaught Place area on October 10 as security tightened across the capital ahead of the Cockroach Janta Party's (CJP) planned Jantar Mantar demonstration. The protest calls for Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar's resignation over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Police denied permission for the gathering, citing procedural issues and law-and-order concerns, while organisers maintain their demand for accountability.
